What is Erasmus +

The EU’s flagship programme for education and training

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. Under Key Action 1 (KA1), schools can apply for grants that fund teachers to take part in professional development activities abroad — including courses like ours.

If your school receives an Erasmus+ KA1 grant, attending one of our courses can cost you and your school nothing out of pocket.

Who can apply

Applications are submitted by the school, not individual teachers

Primary schools
Secondary schools
VET institutions
Privately-funded schools

How does it work?

Four steps from application to certificate

1
Feb or Oct deadline

Your school applies to its National Agency

Each country has a National Erasmus+ Agency. The school submits a project proposal describing which teachers would go, where, and why.

2
Within a few months

Funding is approved

If successful, the school receives a grant — usually within a few months of the deadline.

3

Teachers register for the course

Once funding is confirmed, teachers book their place. We provide all documentation your school needs — course description, learning outcomes, and a confirmation letter.

4

Certificate & reporting

Participants receive a certificate of attendance. Schools share learning with colleagues and submit a report — we provide supporting documentation to make this easy.

How long does an application take? Writing your first Erasmus+ application typically takes a school team 30–50 hours spread over several weeks. Schools that apply once almost always apply again.
